Business training facilities

Equipped with a seminar room with a seating capacity of over 200, business training facilities here are used for business networking within the company, with other companies, and with international business partners, as well as for industry-academia joint seminars, thereby serving knowledge sharing and skill improvement needs for capacity building.

R&D facilities

Here is where Nishio Rent All’s philosophy and wealth of know-how are further developed to create new value. R&D themes include problem solving for construction-site-environment-, safety-, quality-, and cost-efficiency-related issues; improvement of productivity, labor-saving, and automation; and the development of innovative construction methods.

Offices

Some of Nishio Rent All’s head office and sales headquarter functions are housed here, serving as a nerve center for the public release of information as well as for business advancement.

Guest accommodation

Overnight accommodation, socializing, and relaxation are provided for business training facility users—employees, non-employees, and students—as well as facility tour visitors.

North Pocket Park: A haven of calm

The perimeter of this complex is planted with tens of thousands of plants, which reflect the changing seasons. The planting on the north side has a seating area where these can be appreciated—a relaxing, picturesque place complementary to Sakishima and its famously beautiful sunset.

Building B

Lobby

The lobby is connected to Cosmosquare Station by the Pedestrian Deck, which provides seamless access to Building B facilities.

Offices

Some of Nishio Rent All’s head office functions are housed here, as well as departments engaged in new businesses.

R&D facilities

Alongside advancing Nishio Rent All’s support for the success of World Expo 2025, most notably in the area of timber modular construction, joint studies are carried out here, as well as various field tests in the area of logistics, such as those involving the supply coordination of timber and other materials.

Sakishima Morena and Kibaco

The Nishio Holdings Group considers timber modular construction from the viewpoint of sustainability. Nishio’s proprietary ATA Hybrid Construction technology is capable of creating large spaces without pillars using timber available on the general market. Sakishima Morena has an area of 1,356 m2 (transverse width 38 m x longitudinal length 35 m; approx. maximum height 12 m).

It is one of the country’s largest pillar-free timber-built spaces, its frame consisting of sixty-four CLT panels made from materials including domestic sugi (cryptomeria) timber. Shorter construction periods and lighter weight are among the advantages for construction that make this construction method a highly recommended new option for timber buildings designed to fulfill re-siting and repurposing needs. As a facility in tune with contemporary needs, Morena will be hosting innovations and challenges for creating groundbreaking exhibitions and events.

Named after kibako (Japanese for “wooden crate”) because of its visual associations, this building has an area of 318 m2 (eave height 3.7 m, maximum height 4.6 m), and is composed of fifty-one CLT panels with a volume of 17 m3 and a thickness of 120 mm. Built from ready-processed, standardized panels to reduce both construction time and cost,

Kibaco is symbolic of Nishio’s active effort toward adopting wooden structures for its offices, warehouses, and other facilities. Kibaco offers users comfort and serenity by conveying the beauty, warmth, and other sensory virtues of natural materials in ways unique to a wooden structure. The diverse roles Kibaco is expected to serve include a showroom; providing backup for sporting and other events hosted by Sakishima Morena; offices; and a venue for networking.

Seamless pedestrian access to Sakishima landmarks provided by the Pedestrian Deck

The R&D International Exchange Center complex is situated in Cosmo Square, a district earmarked by the national government for accelerated urban regeneration (tokutei toshi saisei kinkyu seibi chiiki). Contributing to the pedestrian-friendliness of Cosmo Square is the Pedestrian Deck connecting Cosmosquare Station, the Cosmo Tower (Osaka Prefectural Government Sakishima Building), and the ATC (Asia and Pacific Trade Center). In the eventuality of natural or other disasters, the complex is expected to also serve as an emergency shelter.
